Production Blog: Creating the Story and More

 Hey Bloggers! I want to talk about the story of how music video and how we got there. So after picking the song, ideas started flowing. The idea of a break up type story got thrown out there and it stuck. While Alyssa, Maria, and I were on FaceTime this is when the real thinking happened. Some friends from school will also be helping in the music video. One of our friends agreed to play like the love interest, ex, role in the music video. While brainstorming it was kind of funny. Just like the thought of all this and the production. Like having to act like we 'hate' each other in a way is just like hilarious. For this project I'm so glad we have like so much room for like creativity. Imagine if like the teacher had to pick our group and song, it wouldn't have been enjoyable. But anyways, lets chat about the storyboard. Drawing it was comical. Since majority of the group doesn't know how to draw, trying to figure that out was so funny. But we got to work on it together in class and that was so much better than doing it like over the phone. Being able to just all be together makes the whole process smoother. For my group, work is usually spilt up to make everything light for everyone. But we all make sure to help everyone equally. Doing this with friends is so nice. And the story just makes it ten times better. And it's really nice that we can have basically anyone in our video. Now our friends can like participate. But that's it for this one, bloggers!

Hey Bloggers! I haven't done a production blog in so long, not since the last project. I cannot wait to write and post these upcoming blogs. Originally, my group and I were supposed to film at the end of January, but we had some minor setbacks. First, two of the group members got sick so we couldn't film any scenes. We found that it would be inconvenient to begin filming because our plan was that whoever is going to be in the scene that is being recorded will be the cameraman so, we chose to wait until everyone was ready to film. Now we were ready to film... or so we thought. After they had recovered, one of the group members got in trouble. To overcome this obstacle, we decided to film the scene where they were not in. Editing Blog: Part 2

 Hey Blogger! In the previous blog, I stoped the editing at the photo montage. Now we continue. Not even going to hold you, I procrastinated wanting to edit. Then I remember this work isn't just for me, it's a group grade.That way of thinking gave me an extra push to finally continue. When I was actually going back and looking the footage was there, a lot needed cuts. There just a bunch of clips of us laughing and breaking character. It was so funny to go and look back on. Moving forward the editing became a group collective. Maria worked on the title sequence, since it was her amazing idea. I just added the scene of her pulling out the knife and walking then I cut it to the scene of her looking Alyssa. For this part I kept it simple since, that's what most movies do when it's a scene like that. Also, since there's a tilt and pan for those scenes, additionally things weren't really necessary.
