Production Blog
Hey Bloggers! I haven't done a production blog in so long, not since the last project. I cannot wait to write and post these upcoming blogs. Originally, my group and I were supposed to film at the end of January, but we had some minor setbacks. First, two of the group members got sick so we couldn't film any scenes. We found that it would be inconvenient to begin filming because our plan was that whoever is going to be in the scene that is being recorded will be the cameraman so, we chose to wait until everyone was ready to film. Now we were ready to film... or so we thought. After they had recovered, one of the group members got in trouble. To overcome this obstacle, we decided to film the scene where they were not in. We could not wait any longer, we had to begin filming as soon as possible.
Due to these circumstances the first scene filmed was the photo montage of us. This was the perfect way to start the filming process since it did not require anyone to be physically present. Prior to filming these scenes, I printed out pictures of the group and arranged them the way they fit perfectly in the frame. I had to try multiple different orders to find the perfect arrangements.Along with trying different patterns and arrangements, I had also tried different camera angles. I did a close-up shot of the pictures. I did this to capture the detail of the photos and focus on the actor with the corresponding name. Let me explain. When a picture appears, it will focus on one of the actors. When the actor is shown their name will emerge. I recorded each clip for about two to three seconds. The first step is officially done!
Well that’s it for this blog, bloggers!
Xoxo, Laudjah.
