editing again:)

Hey Bloggers! So I need to re-edit some stuff, sadly. When using CapCut a lot of stuff got mixed around, bad. This was really my first time editing a project myself. Previously I had a group, but this helped me learn some things on my own.

When it came to editing, the video itself, it was really choppy. I filmed on an iPhone 12 as well as an iPhone 11 and the quality difference was apparent. I had to mesh the videos together as there were a lot of scenes I filed out of order or just on different days. A lot of the time the audio wouldn’t make up with the visuals. I tried fixing that for over 35 minutes before I had to scrap the whole thing and restart. I was really trying to save it , but I just had to let it go. That truly hurt my motivation and soul, lol. I fought past it though and the second go around was soo much easier.

I wanted to add the little sounds, such as powering off a phone, because I thought it added to the film. When I added most audios I did it through recording it from my phone onto my iPad. I found this method very useful as it allowed to easily access the audios and simply hold up by the iPad. For the music I imported it onto CapCut, as I couldn’t find any good copyright free sounds CapCut provides. Editing the audio was the roughest part, by far.

First, I didn’t really know how to mix and add the audio well enough for you to hear that and the dialogue. But surely I got the hang of it. I learned how to the volume, fade in and out of sounds, and but not only dissolve the audio well enough with the speech.

During this journey, I’ve been learning how to use technology so much better. I see how millennials feel now, lol.

But that’s it’s for this blog, Blogger!

Xoxo, Laudjah.
