Production Blog for Short film!


 

Hey Blogger! This has been a new experience, and I'm glad I'm learning a bit more. Since I've been in the group by myself I'm doing everything myself of course. It's an eye opening experience because I'm understanding every perspective of this project.

So, I wanna talk about the fun part of filming, well it shouldn't be fun technically but... So recently I filmed the scenes where Ivy is plotting against Amira. I drove my friends car to get some of those shots done. I'm so glad I have good friends, because when I was writing my script I lowkey forgot I didn't have a car, lol. I don't usually drive, so my friends were "pretending" to be scared. I can drive but they were being soo extra, but it was funny though. We had to keep going up and down the street because we kept messing up or a finger would be in the frame. Another thing was I kept forgetting that the music couldn't be playing for copyright issues, so that also made the process take longer. But I'm lowkey glad it took long, I love driving, and I haven't drove in a fat minute. 

When we filmed the scene where Ivy "poison's" Amira, I used altoid mints because they really looked like pills. I wanted it to look as real as possible, so it doesn't take away from the serious factor. We re-filmed that like 5 times because there was a lot of background noise and I wanted the sound of the mints crushing in the background. Finally we got the perfect shot and were able to move on. The next few scenes were cake. I just had to work on remembering the script, my memory is so bad sometimes. It went smoothly the rest of the time we were filming because we really locked in. I just need to go back to the lot to get an establishing shot, then I'll be good. I just need to make sure I meet the time. I'm sure I will.

          Hey bloggers, its Laudjah. It's time to crunch down on how I'm going to do the production of my commerical. Let's get into to how I' m actually going to film it. I'm going to be using my iPhone 11 to film anything that needs to be filmed. I don't have a professional camera to use, but the iPhone is literally just as good as an average camera. For the actual editing, I'm going to be using an app called "CapCut". I've used this app before and used it before. It did go viral on TikTok for it being a easy tool to edit and it really is easy to use, like A+ to those who made it. I've never had to edit or film anything for like a class so I want it to look good. I already had to app downloaded from using it previously. Final Task Group Blog

  Hey Bloggers! Let’s get into the details of my Final Task. For the project I’m gonna be working with some friends. I’m gonna work with Alyssa, she’s in my class, and Maria, she’s in a different class. I’m working with Alyssa because I’ve known her since freshman, she’s one of my good friends, and I know she’s reliable. Maria and I just started becoming close this year and I feel like she’s a good person to work with. This wasn’t the original plan for the people I was going to work with. A friend that Alyssa and I know we’re planning on working together, but they chose to work with other people. It was slightly more out of convenience. Since he worked with them perviously on the music video, he decided to just stay with them for the final task. So I get it, I guess.
