Hey Bloggers, it's Laudjah! I've missed writing these blogs and I'm happy to get into this "groove", lol. I'm so excited to start filming this short film. I've had a couple set backs so I couldn't start filming when I originally planned to. Doing this film by myself as been a challenge that as lowkey been hard to conquer. Finding people that want to be in something they get no type of compensation for is hard. They don't fully the importance of this project/class. They people I originally planned to film with, well 2/3 or 4 have been pretty compliant. Others unfortunately just see this as a fun project. As it will be fun to make, it's also important that it doesn't just look like a "fun" mini film, but something that represents all that I've learned. It keeps getting shut down or being put on the back burner for some. As I'm writing this, I'm coming to the realization that I need to find people that maybe took the clas...
https://www.artofthetitle.com/title/the-black-phone/ The movie I chose to do research on is The Black Phone. I found the opening scene of this horror movie on the website Art of the Title. - What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? The opening sequence starts with the names of the production companies involved in making this movie. The title then appears in big bold letters. As the opening sequence continues, the actors names are displayed in the same font but smaller size followed up with the name of the casting director. Co- producers, costume designers, editors, executive producers, and producers are listed scene by scene. The movie is a based on a short story so the title and author of the story are included in the opening sequence. The opening sequence ends with the title of the director of the movie. - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The opening sequence starts with a boy riding his bike and a...
Hey bloggers! As I mentioned many times, I worked on this project in a group of just one. Let me open up on my thoughts and experience with doing that. I can say I’m glad I worked alone. It allowed me to get a better understanding of this course. Also, with technology as it was very important to complete this. Although I procrastinated, it showed me that nowadays the softwares provided are very efficient. CapCut was a great editing software to use as it allowed me to quickly and efficiently create a film. There were a lot of downsides to it as well. Since it was a group of one, I had to find people that fit my storyline. I originally planned for a boy to play my love interest, but the people I depended on weren’t able to. This really affected my project as that was the main plot. But in the end I decided to make my girl friend play the role, and I'm going to make her a representation of trans inclusion. It was too late to switch because I previously filmed scenes where I us...
